Beverley Rider’s twin passions for business and the decorative arts led her to a career as an independent design curator.
As VP of Human Resources at JP Morgan in London and New York Rider honed her skills in career management and development. A keen interest in Decorative Arts and design prompted a change of career and she returned to college to study for a graduate degree in Art History at Columbia University in New York. Subsequently she studied at Christie’s and graduated from The Inchbald’s Architectural Interior Design Diploma programme.
Recently, Beverley Rider has designed and managed a wide range of private luxury, bespoke residential interiors and design projects.
Rider’s skills in career management and development combined with her strong aesthetic understanding and belief in the values of craftsmanship give her a unique perspective in offering creative and business guidance to the artists and designers with whom she works. She is a passionate and committed promoter and patron of contemporary design, believing in working closely with both collectors and artists in the commissioning process. Her focus is on challenging and re-inventing traditional skills, using new materials and technologies in a unique personalised approach to contemporary luxury. Her mission is to change preconceived ideals about craft, positioning limited edition works centre stage in the worlds of design and art.
Based in London and New York, Rider is a contributor to The Wall St Journal’s WSJ Magazine.
