Adam graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 1991 with an Honours degree in Drama & Media Studies and was called to the Bar in 1994. Adam was a Partner in his own IP/Media Boutique firm before joining Davenport Lyons in 2008.

Adam's practice focuses on all aspects of litigation but specifically in rights protection, enforcement and exploitation including copyright, trade mark, licensing and other media-related issues including confidence, privacy and libel. He has acted for News International, Telegraph Group, Emap, and a number of well-known individuals.

Recent experience includes:
- Acting for celebrity model against a national newspaper for breach of copyright and confidence
- Acting for an Illustrator against a national magazine for breach of copyright in relation to online remuneration for freelancers
- Acting for a Turner prize-winning artist in relation to libel against a number of national newspapers
- Acting for an individual in a claim against the Metropolitan police for false imprisonment and breach of Human Rights
- Acting for a leading photographic agency in a large-scale digital copyright infringement
- Acting for various fashion retailers on design infringements

Adam is a Member of Lincoln's Inn and an ADR-accredited Mediator

In his spare time Adam enjoys family life, plays music, skiing & tennis and is a trustee and board member of theatre company On Theatre.
