Deborah Carré and James Ducker - Shoe makers

Since we launched our bespoke shoemaking company, carréducker, in December 2004 we have built up a loyal following of international customers. We now offer men's and women's bespoke, handsewn shoes; made to order Limited Edition shoes; and Winkers slippers and slip-ons in fine, woven fabrics and have established a presence for our brand at Leffot in New York, Stowers Bespoke of Savile Row and Edwards of Manchester.

We also run our own Shoemaking School - an intensive, two-week, handsewn shoemaking course - twice a year in London and New York.

We were attracted to the Crafted programme because we are keen to grow the business and recognise that there are certain areas where we would greatly benefit from specialist advice and experience. We anticipate that the business support and mentoring that we receive through the Crafted programme will help us to take our business to the next level. Our objectives are to build volume sales of our manufactured ranges and attract more bespoke clients, both men and women - ultimately to establish carréducker as an international luxury accessories brand.
